Personal:

Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

4.1 miles. Average pace 8:13. That was all I could fit in before an early work meeting. Too bad work has to get in the way of running...

Today was an anniversary of sorts... :) 7 years ago today I went for a lovely early morning fall run. As the sun was rising, I was about 3 miles into a cool, crisp, faster run when the sidewalk jumped out at me...and BAM (no offense Bam) I decided to taste the concrete in a major way. Long story short, I broke my fall with my face and cracked my jaw. My first broken bone. My mouth was wired shut for 6 weeks. I now run with a helmet because my clumsiness certainly hasn't gotten any better.

Um.. I would say Happy Anniversary, but that doesn't seem right :/ Good work getting in what you could before work :)

haha I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry! But this definitely made me smile. I would never ever make it 6 weeks with my mouth wired shut.

Rachelle, I did both! And I barely survived the 6 weeks.
