Personal:

Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

I gave in.....I ran. oops?

Actually it wasn't that bad. My shin kinda ached but it warmed up like it did right before the marathon. Whereas last week, it never got warm and always hurt.

Not gonna lie, it felt great to get the legs moving again. Ran 4 miles at 8:15 min/miles. I'm itching to do speedwork but again...trying to be smart. I did upper body weights after the run on the treadmill.

So so happy to hear you were able to run with minimal pain. yay!! DO NOT even attempt speed work. For that matter I would really avoid hills for awhile and try to run on flat.

I would run easy, easy, easy for awhile before adding speedwork. Good job on the strength training!

What she said: DO NOT ATTEMPT SPEED WORK. If you want to get the hr up though, crank up the incline on the tm. You can get the same cardio benefit of a hard workout without the banging and pounding of fast pace running.
