Hip is slightly more tight than yesterday so I did the elliptical for an hour and then 25 minutes of core/hip work.

Saw this guy walking on the treadmill in front of me with the incline way up, I assume in an effort to get a great workout. Then I saw that he was holding on tightly to the treadmill faceplate which effectively is like walking half of his body weight up a hill.  No wonder he wasn't breaking a sweat.

I hope your hip loosens up satisfactorily.

Why bother jacking up the incline if you're going to hold on like that? On The Biggest Loser, they're always yelling at the contestants to let go of the railings on the treadmills.

this is a very common approach to exercising that i have observed over the years: if the belt is moving, it's a workout.

sometimes i turn on the treadmill and go eat breakfast. i come back an hour later and i have magically gone 8 miles! this approach is great on the joints, and it saves you from having to deal with all of that 'icky' sweat.

I always love reading your workouts!
