A.M. 4 miles in 7:53 pace

My left achilles has been a little tight for about a week now and is not getting better fast enough, so I scheduled an appointment to get some ART done on it tomorrow.  That should be fun.

P.M. Met my team at Potts Field for some intervals on the Boulder Creek Path

20 minute warm up, stretching, strides

3 X Mile in 10K pace (I probably went a little too hard)

My watch is usually pretty accurate at measuring distance but tonight it seemed to be off.  My splits based on the Creek Path mile markers were 5:41, 5:32, 5:35 but my watch says I ran shorter than a mile each time with my paces being 5:47, 5:37, 5:45.  Regardless of which one is more accurate, I felt great, which was confidence building.  I think I'll shoot for 5:50 pace in the Bolder Boulder, which will put me at a low 36 minute time.

There were a TON of runners out on the Creek Path tonight.   I could almost read their minds..."Uh oh, the Bolder Boulder is only 6 days away...guess I better go running!"

nice work. the "more runners out than usual" phenomenon happens 3 x per year: january 1, spring break and bolder boulder.

I can't wait to see how you do in the Bolder Boulder.

Nice miles!

I think my watch is broken too, it says I am running 7:30 but really it is more like 5:00 mile pace!

You should run the Centerville 5k. The start and finish line is right across the street from your mom's school. I'd love to see you give some of the 20-something hotshots a little come-uppance when you blow past them.

Good luck at the BB. sub-36 should put you in the top female finishers for sure.

Kam-Centerville is an option but I think I'd rather do a 10K or Half Marathon.

Jon-My realistic goal is sub-37. If I'm feeling super awesome I think I can get low 36. Sub-36 would be a miracle at this point in my training. But you're right, even sub-37 should be top 5. Its not an easy course; I'm sure you've run it.

Looks like you have several options.

Yes, I think I did it 4 or 5 times. Best of luck. I'm assuming you are in A wave?
