9 miles

My Garmin was totally dead this morning so I ran my usual 9 mile course without my watch, which was actually pretty nice because I just went by feel and did a true recovery run, probably 8+min/mile pace.  Legs feel pretty good, but still pretty tired.  As it turns out, I'm treating my body to some serious recovery aid today. I already had Chiropractor on the schedule, which I went to this morning. I also stopped in to see Richey for some ART on my achilles and quad this afternoon.  And to top it off, tonight after the kids are tucked in I have my monthly massage at Massage Envy.  Spoiled, I know.  Hopefully I don't go into a lazy body-work coma tonight in my sleep.

Wow you should sleep goooood tonight! Maybe you should top it all off with a relaxing bubble bath and call it a spa day!

Nice!!! I did that this week too (even though I did not race). ART + massage= happy legs.

What a fabulous recovery day! You deserve it.

I am super jealous, but you deserve it! You are so smart to take good care of yourself. I really need to ditch my Garmin more often and go by feel too. I get sucked in to the "stats" and probably do my recovery runs too fast.

Yes, it was a very nice day. I slept soundly last night. Almost too soundly.

Mel-I am guilty of pushing the pace on recovery days probably the majority of the time. I have to resist looking at my Garmin and really try to listen to my body especially after races when it is crucial to really recover.
