Fairview Track workout

20 min warm up, stretching, strides

4X200M in 36-38 seconds (4:48-5:00 pace)

6X800 M in 2:45, 2:46, 2:44, 2:44, 2:42, 2:38 (5:16-5:32 pace)

4X200M in 36-38 (4:48-5:00 pace)

10 minute cool down

We had a pretty big group this morning.  Lots of triathletes were there which was nice because it added depth to the fastest group.  The coolest part was watching Richey (our ART guy/Chiropractor) out-sprint Damon (1st year pro-triathlete) in the final 200 M interval.  Richey has wheels!  Apparently the Fairview High School track is the place for pros to workout because as we were wrapping up our workout more pro triathletes started showing up and I saw Renee Metivier Baillie walking in as I was walking out.

Nice workout. Now back to training biscuit!

Hey, there's Nan Kennard. Isn't she undefeated in the marathon distance? Oh yeah. She's super cool. I'm too scared to ask for an autograph.

nice workout Nan. it takes me months to build up to intervals like that and you just come back from injury and knock them out like nothing. I doubt I will be able to stay close at the BB. It will be fun in any event.

You're not too shabby your own self, miss awesome runner.

So are you going to win the Park to Park 10 Miler again this year? (I'm looking at your race schedule.) Maybe I'll come run it this year so that I can say that I know the winner. I skipped it last year.

Burt & KP-LOL...biscuit?

Scott-I'll be happy with a course PR since I've only run it twice..once 9 days after the Ogden marathon (didn't run a step in those 9 days and finished just a hair under 40 minutes) and once on mediocre 30 mpw training (I think I ran 38 something). I'm hoping for low 37, maybe even sub 37 this time around.

Allie-Hobble Creek is a funny story actually. My SIL called me a few weeks ago all excited because she made it into Runner's Corner before they closed the door and said only people in the store could register (I guess it filled up very quickly). So in the excitement I agreed to run it with her and a few other family peeps. Should be fun!

Carolyn-Not too shabby is fair. But I'm no Pro. I'll be on a mission at Park to Park though because last year I ran off course for about 20 seconds and ended up tying (not breaking) the course record. This year I'm hoping to stay on course and break that darn record.

Oh, yeah. It's a substitute word for another word on that guy's website. Nevermind me.

i was wondering how you got in to hobble creek. that race is nuts. as soon as registration is open, the race is full. it's a super fast course though and you will meet a ton of bloggers.
