10 miles in 7:14 pace

My legs felt surprisingly good this morning after driving in the car for nine hours yesterday.   Thank goodness.  So I did my ten miles with 7X50 stride pick-ups after a couple warm-up miles and enjoyed the beautiful morning.  We really have been having great weather in Colorado this summer.

Wow--nice and brisk on car legs!

Once again, welcome home! Are you still planning on the Park to Park 10 Miler? I don't think I'll run it this year, but I might come cheer you on.

Carolyn-I think so, but I'm not certain. Coach thinks I should do the New Haven 20K the same day but I'm resisting the idea.

I've run the New Haven 20k. It is a lot of fun. There is one pretty serious hill at mile ten, but otherwise not too bad. The course is pretty, but can be windy along the river. There's always really good competition, but I think you are ready for it. A lot of times they pick the world half marathon team from the 20k, though that looks like it will conflict with your marathon.

I'm looking to run the Houston Marathon in January if I can get myself in shape. I like watching your training for ideas to add to mine!
