Rolled out on the foam roller and Aaron massaged my calves last night for a long time. This morning I was even more sore than yesterday. I guess all that rolling/massage losened all the lactic acid and now its still working its way out of my legs. ??? I finally started to feel warmed up after about 5 miles. Wanted to go 10, but needed to be back by 7:15 so Aaron could get to an early networking meeting, so I cut it short a bit because my pace was slower than expected and I had to stop to stretch after a couple of miles. As it was, I didn't get back until 7:20 but Aaron was still getting ready to leave so at least I didn't make him late. Aaron and I talked last night about the possibility of getting a babysitter once a week so I can join a group for speed work in preparation for my next marathon. I guess I'll start asking around to see who I can get to take good care of my kids for a few hours once a week. I probably wont start doing this until the beginning of October though, so I have some time to find someone. |
