I was so tired again that i went to bed about 10:00pm and woke up about 7:30am. I think I am still recovering from WBR and the night of zero sleep last weekend. I thought about doing a 5k like the one in Herriman or Lavender days in Mona, but after I felt sore yesterday I decided to bag it and do a longer run. I was glad I did because i had a good run after it took me 5 miles to get warmed up. I did an extended version of my six city loop that starts in AF and goes through Highland, Alpine, Cedar hills, Manilla, PG and back home to AF. I took a GU at halfway and grabbed a drink in Cedar Hills. I figure I need to start training with that type of stuff once in a while to get used to it for some of my up and coming longer races. I felt good and ran comfortably the whole run, even with some of the big hills. I averaged just over 6:30 pace for the last 8 miles. 1:39:18 for the run. (Kayano- 201 miles) |
