I met Timo at 26.2 and we went on an easy recovery run around west American Fork.  Honestly I wasn't sure where we were at times, somewhere out in the farm land.  After the run, and a BS session about running, I added two more miles with 6x100 strides in the VFFs at the park Nice day today, and it was fun to finally run with someone again.  7:51 average pace.

(Kayano- 187 miles)

(VFF- 4 miles)

Nice run and good talking to you.

Question, when did the VFF's become all the rage on the blog? Do you like them?

From Sasha Pachev on Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 16:29:03

Is Timo married yet?

Great run and a great training week for you. Your getting your mileage up there each week. The VFF some be a popular item now I might have to pick some up and try them.

Jeff,

I think Scott Browning started it. I love them for running on the grass and doing strides, that way I don't have worry about stickers, sticks or bees. I didn't know that they were the rage yet. Sasha runs in them all of the time, crazy!

Sasha,

Timo is not married yet. We are in the same ward, and we coach against each other.

Kory,

I have some time to train now so I hope to get the miles back up where they should be.

If you like to do some barefoot strides, the Five Fingers (I call them VFFs) are great. The muscles in my feet get a little sore every time I use them, but I like them. You might as well get some, apparently everyone is doing it!

Tell Timo to get on the blog and get married! When I met him he was a ward mission leader of a singles ward in Murray.

From James on Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 23:14:36

He told me about that. He also said he isn't going to put his high school workouts on the blog for you!:)

Tell him Dave Holt is having good results with that. First coach Shane says: "Who the heck is Ruth Hilton?" Now Hayden just ran 30:36 in the Summer Games, 1st place, only 16 slower than Joe Wilson last year, and 40 seconds ahead of Dave. Soon coach Eyestone will be saying "Who the heck is Hayden Hawks?"
