Slept in and missed breakfast

I underestimated how much the heat would affect me and ran a minute/mile slower than planned.  I've run at night at the same temperature, but the sun seems make it worse.  Maybe it's just in my head.

Maybe it's because you missed breakfast. 10 miles on no breakfast is hard core.

From montelepsy on Fri, May 08, 2009 at 15:03:03 from 155.85.58.253

Missing breakfast was no big deal, especially since last night we went out for pizza and folks kept shoving their leftovers in front of me.

Nice miles... All I can say is wow... that had to be hot!! I hope you at least had water with you since you didn't eat breakfast. I'm very impressed!

Loved the comments yesterday on the resume's.

Shoving them in front of you? This from the guy who asks, "Are you going to finish that?" to people who are still eating? :)

Maddy did the funniest impression of you saying that at Sunday dinner. Then when she was on thirds, she proudly claimed to be just like her dad.

Who was "we?" the pancake gang? I never heard back if that recipe email made it through? We should just stick to communicating on the blogs.

Don't forget your sister and Koemi's birthdays today, and my mom's tomorrow! I'm making my mom's birthday cake. She wants her usual butter cake with chocolate frosting. Derek asked me to make him a cake for Mom's birthday too- he wants that chocolate cake/ice cream monstrosity I made for Maddy last weekend. I don't know if you'd like it, but I KNOW you would love the chocolate whipped cream. I promised the girls I'd make it again when you come home. n case they weren't looking forward to that enough already :)

Hey, don't skip breakfast. It's not good for you. Maybe that's why you ended up with that crummy headache? Hydrate, eat your veggies, don't get sick.

I'm heading to the university farmer's market now. Hope you feel better soon. :)

p.s. please let me know when you can talk- I need some feedback on my rhetorical criticism final paper!

Working on your tan today?

From jefferey on Sat, May 09, 2009 at 14:04:34 from 67.171.56.220

97 degrees will roast your jowls in a hurry. If that was the temp when you left at 9:30 it probably was over 100 when you finished. You are the Heat Miser if you can stand that!! Any particular reason for the .08 after the 10?

From Bonnie on Sat, May 09, 2009 at 14:14:37 from 71.210.108.76

Great work Monte! You rock.

Kungfublonde - the email probably got redacted ;-) or some spy out there is really enjoying something tasty.

Lori, before I ran I had some candy and a yogurt, so it wasn't on an empty stomach. I wish I had written down other comments from previous evaluations. Oh well. I got 4 more to do before I leave in Jun or Jul.

Hon, I don't have to ask anymore. I have them trained. I never got the pancake recipe and I figure you didn't get the message that ended up googling a random pancake recipe.

I actually remembered Monika et al's birthdays. I even confused your Mom's with Mother's day, but I did remember. Just in the wrong order. I wrote Monika and your mom, too.

Eric, I now have a Farmer John tan. I don't think that's happened before.

Jefferey, it hit 97 about midway through. I was about to run at 900, but it took 37 minutes to convince myself to run in the heat. I ran 5 miles out and back. The .08 was around the last mile-and-a-half after my camelbak went dry. I took a small detour to retrieve (a la Burt) an abandoned water bottle at the side of the road and dumped it on myself.

Thanks Bonnie. I roll too.

Hey, I resemble that comment. Just for the record, I never did drink out of the discarded bottles of liquid I saw, and it was only after watching Man vs. Wild the night before that those ideas even got in my head.

And you're lucky that wasn't a road side bomb you dumped on yourself. :)
