Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Went out about nine at night, had eaten around seven so I was a little nervous but really wanted to get a run in.  The first mile or so was a little uncomfortable but then the stomach settled down and I felt pretty good!  By the end of the run I think I easily could have gone farther, but the streets aren't too well lit and I didn't want to sprang my ankle in a bump in the road!  Loved the run though, it's been a while since I have ran at night and now remember that I love it!

after last nights run was expecting another great run..... WRONG!   Legs were feeling rather tired and upset that I was requiring anything of them, and it was pretty windy out!  I had planned to do six or seven but with the wind and the dead legs stuck to my regular five.  Should have pushed a little farther, but at least I didn't shorten it anymore than my regular five!  After almost a year of hip pain, I am just soooo glad to be able to be doing five again, even if my legs are dead tired and I don't feel like it!!!

Four miles walking with a friend!  Can't quite get her to get running but it's fun to walk and talk do I will make the sacrifice!   Also it let's me mix things up a bit.  Still a bit worried about pushing the hip so walking a riding the bike for me are just fine as long as I'm getting some good runs in and my distance and endurance in running is improving!

Fourteen miles on the bike.  Not sure how to track these and so I'm still not logging them as miles or counting them in anyway.  Any suggestions?

Six miles of running.  Good fun run today!  The first part was some pretty good up hill miles, my calves should be pretty sore tomorrow, but it was a good run.  Not sure if you should follow up hill by up hill the next day to work out the soreness?  Any suggestions?
