Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.
Short-Term Running Goals:
keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.
Not exactly sure on the mileage today plus or minus 2 miles. I have a friend who would like to try out running and so we are just getting started. It's great because I have reall y lost my base with the hip injury and so we can get off on the same page together! She can't run the whole 2 miles so we walk a little run a little ect. and it's working out great. The best part is that I haven't been having ANY hip pain so far! ( hope that I didn't speak to soon!) I would like to get out and do some runs by myself and run the whole time a bit but I think she'll come along quickly and we'll be doing it together soon!
Two miles by myself today, no friend, no dog. It felt hard but in a good way! Very beautiful out today couldn't ask for a more lovely morning to run in!
Two miles running in the afternoon, another beautiful sunny afternoon. And then 2 miles walking with my friend in the evening. Not so beautiful, pretty darn cold!
2.5 ish today, my nikeipod battery is dead and I need to order another so I'm not exactly sure on the mileage. Nothing too excitting but I'm hoping it will get up there soon!
