Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

It took up a good portion of my running energy to just get out the door today! And I really don't know why? But once I got out, I was feeling pretty good. I was doing my 8 mile loop backwards for the first time and wasn't sure how it would turn out. At three miles so good so far, five miles doing fine. 6 miles the wheels start to come off. I don't know what happened from here on out but I can honestly say I can't remember a run that was as hard as the last 2 miles of this one. My hip began to really hurt ( which I thought that I had more or less kicked this problem) and I just felt like every step took all my effort. I managed to limp on into home without stopping, but my pace was barely a crawl. I don't know if it's been that I have slacked a little on my runs the last two weeks or what, but definatley not a great run. Gotta get out and redeem myself tomorrow!

Hey- are you coming for the marathon? I thought you were, but not sure? If so, just you or who is coming? Just wondering. Oh- and if you are, RSVP to my email for the party as I'm trying to keep tabs on numbers that way. I hope you can come!

Oh Ya! I forgot about that I am coming for the marathon, and I will come to the party. I'm not sure who is coming for the party with me I'm not planning on Ted, but I hope that I can get McCall to come I think it would be fun for her to see those guys finish the marathon and see what it's all about! So I'll send it to your other e-mail so you can keep track!

Michelle, YOU HAVE TO COME! We can all talk about Twilight together!

From crumpyb1 on Fri, Sep 14, 2007 at 16:37:22

WAIT! Lybi, did you say Twilight? Have you guys read New Moon, too? I am still 12th in line at the library for Eclipse.

Michelle, sorry to hear about a no fun run. I hope tomorrow is better for you.

You guys probably know this- but Eclipse and New Moon are on sale at Costco (saw them today) for about $12 each for the hardback. Picked up Eclipse- can't wait! I really gotta go pack for Powell. You guys are the best, can't wait to hang out at the Pasta Party! Chat w/ ya in a week
