It took up a good portion of my running energy to just get out the door today! And I really don't know why? But once I got out, I was feeling pretty good. I was doing my 8 mile loop backwards for the first time and wasn't sure how it would turn out. At three miles so good so far, five miles doing fine. 6 miles the wheels start to come off. I don't know what happened from here on out but I can honestly say I can't remember a run that was as hard as the last 2 miles of this one. My hip began to really hurt ( which I thought that I had more or less kicked this problem) and I just felt like every step took all my effort. I managed to limp on into home without stopping, but my pace was barely a crawl. I don't know if it's been that I have slacked a little on my runs the last two weeks or what, but definatley not a great run. Gotta get out and redeem myself tomorrow! |
