Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Went out with my friend and her daughter who rode tandem bikes while I ran. Was hoping to have them push my pace a little, but I think that I just slowed thiers. They stopped about half way to have breakfast at the bakery, and I kept going to add on a little more. Was hoping to do 6 today, but time contraints didn't allow. Left calf still sore, I think that I was expecting my massage to fix everything, but I think that is a little to much to expect, I think it would require a couple of repeats frequently. It did feel great! But I didn't wake up with the body of 25 yr old, ( darn ).

Good job...especially passing up breakfast at the bakery! That's a real accomplishment in my book! I'm jealous of your massage...I've never had one! But it kinda creaps me out to think of someone I don't know touching me all over. haha. BTW, we still have Kimi at our house, but just until Friday morning. It's been fun but exhausting because we've tried to show him a good time here in the good ol' US of A.

Nice job on mileage this week. I don't know how you passed up the bakery! I'm long overdue for a massage. I should've done it today while I was slacking. My cold kept me in bed this morning- not that I was that sick- but sick enough to want to be lazy! Hoping to get out there tomorrow. Your energy inspires me- keep it up!

What...are you trying to say those 25 year olds have more energy than us 30 somethings...no way. (no offense meant to sweet young things)We have way more energy than them and way more woman power too. I really feel like the older I get the more enpowered I am simply because I am wiser. (ask me when I'm 80)

I am 34, and I do not know of a fitness test that I would fail now that I could pass at 17. This is statistically unusual, but it should not be. I think with proper consistent care youthfulness can be preserved, and in some cases lost youthfulness can be regained. I believe the secret is consistently healthy diet over the years in combination with consistent high intensity aerobic exercise. At least those seem to be the focus of the questions at RealAge.Com.
