Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Got up this morning at 6:00 a.m. and got out for my run. The run felt really good, I think the diffrence was how nice and cool it is at 6:00 as compared to 8 or 9. I didn't have a lot of time though, so things got cut a little short.

I hear ya about the nice morning temps! Could it be that the temps are finally coming down, or is it just that I've been sleeping through all the nice weather? Anyway, early morning is nice. Great job!

Well I for one usually sleep through the nicer temps. and everytime I happen to get up early enough to run in them, I swear I'll never sleep in again... OOPS! But it is cooling off. As for the weather here you would probably think that you had died and gone to heaven even mid day here. I don't think I could run in the heat you put up with at any hour. I hope it's all relavant and just what your body is used too!

Great job on the negative split!!! Regardless of how I'm feeling in a run, even if I feel better in the middle, my times is always slower as I gain mileage. I think I just need to push myself harder. But the running partner in my head always convinces the legs that they are doing JUST FINE how they are!
