2 mile WU Marathon pace run: 5:51, 5:56, 5:53, 5:50, 5:55 1 mile CD. Today was the first day for me to attempt marathon pace. It felt strange and a little labored at first since I haven't run any faster than 6:30 pace for more than a mile for three+ weeks. I couldn't quite nail the 5:55-6:00 target range I was aiming for so I ended up going a bit quicker. I think this will definitely level out once I get into the 8-12 mile range for these workouts. All in all I think I'm training at the right pace but we will find out how I can do with longer mileage and more workouts in the same week. |
