12.5 miles on the treadmill. My plan was 20, but even with my left knee wrapped, it started bothering me. I also pulled an abdominal muscle a week and a half ago and the pushups and situps and running are aggravating it and it is getting worse.

WOW, that is a lot of treadmill miles!!! Good job.

Take care of your aches and pains so they do not take care of you!

12 miles on the treadmill must be some kind of a record! Yes, maybe you better lay low on all the exersizes until after March 29.

I haven't exersized one little muscle today, except for my jaw muscles. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and then to see "He's Just Not Into You" It was a great chick Flick!

CRAP!!! I am sorry about the busted gut! Hahahahah.. how'd you bust a gut? I need a nap and LESS CRAP o'LA! Feel better. I hope a week down does the trick!

I've done 20 on the treadmill a couple of times. Not fun - but I caught up a lot on podcasts.

Don't know how I messed up the ab muscle. I didn't think I actually had any. It's been hurting for about 2 weeks. I noticed it the day a week or more ago when I tried to do the pushups for the first time and had to resort to girly ones to take stress off the core.

Anyway - the plan is to cross train. Lots of walking, biking, and ellipticals - so my miles for the next week will be 'equivalent' miles.

Now - while all of you celebrate with your loved ones - I am crawling into bed with ice cream, chocolate covered marshmallows and gummy bears, and a couple of good books.

that sounds nice Maurine. Why are chocolate covered marshmallows SO yummy :)

Oh Maurine ... please be careful! You are always reminding me to take my injuries and to heal properly ... so I'm trusting that you will do the same.

(nice miles)

I'm trying, Teena. That's why I stopped when I did. I will probably do a lot of walking this week - and drop the pace if I need to to avoid the stomach muscle hurting. I will need good walking muscles for the ultra - so this will work out. I did force myself to not work out today - I even took a nap instead.

From Teena on Sun, Feb 15, 2009 at 21:32:37

You can never go wrong with naps!

Sorry about the knee and abs ache. Sounds like you've got a plan. Hope all your walking and running parts heal and feel better soon.
