The puppy kept me awake a lot of the night wanting to play - so I will run this afternoon.

Here are some puppy pics - as ordered:

Just after arriving:

Posing at 7 weeks old:

The mighty hunter :)

Treadmill again. I was too tired from the annoying baby last night to dare run on icy roads.

1 mile warmup between 4.7-5.0. Kicked the treadmill up to 6.3 and started dropping the speed .1 for every half mile. Last mile went to 6.5 and dropped the speed .1 for every minute.

Off to meet my exDH and son for a dinner for our son's 19th birthday on Saturday.

Good training in the last month and a half. Keep it up.

It would be a good idea to run some 5 K races to evaluate your fitness.

From tarzan on Thu, Dec 18, 2008 at 23:12:15

Yeah - I'm sure enjoying the puppy. She cracks me up. And it is nice to not be all alone all the time.

Sasha - how do I know to pace myself for a 5K to feel like I'm giving good effort, but not going out too fast?

Maurine:

This is almost like asking "How do I know if God loves me?" :-) It is not possible to describe, you have to learn to feel it. Race several 5 Ks and pay attention to how you feel. After a while you will learn, it will be natural.
