1 mile warmup with the dog.

Ran 2.75 miles up the quarry hill to my eye doctor.  Ran home down the quarry hill and on the path behind Walmart to get a total of 6 miles more.

Left big toe was really hurting last night and this morning (Friday).  I don't know if it was from the crocs or what.  It must have some bruising, because I could feel it when I would touch the toe to the mattress last night.

Hey, I'm not sure what you have going on Monday, 9/27, but I am planning to do a last long run before tapering for Pony Express. I am going to head out to Cedar Valley near Eagle Mountain and run the flat dirt roads out there. It is a great simulation for the race. And because the course is made up of 5 smallish loops around the car you can pretty much just go as far as you want. If you want to join me I can give you the details. I'll start early and end early. Something to think about.

It sounds like a great plan. Unfortunately, I am in taper mode for St. George and will be using that for my last long run.

Thank you for asking though!

Are you going to camp out before the Pony Express? How long does it take to drive to the start?

No, I'm not camping. I'll be staying in Lehi with my parents the night before. It is only about 45 min from there, at most. Driving from Lehi, it is about an hour, not too bad.

I hope that toe is better now - or at least getting there!

I love you ambitious people that have to use MARATHONS as long runs for the REAL races!!
