Rest day today (and maybe for the next few days).  I will probably keep my mileage under 25 this week and not run at all until Wednesday or later.

Took a muscle relaxant last night to let me sleep.  I can't fall asleep after marathon and longer runs without any help.  I think my mind and body stay hyped even when exhausted.

I woke up this morning and as I got out of bed I realized my entire torso is super sore.  Tomorrow is going to be a real joy.  I think it was the weight of the Camelback on my back all day and that has really stiffened it up.  The legs were only bad the first trip downstairs - but they react like after a marathon.

Went and visited my old ward in Layton today and mentioned to a couple of people that I ran down to Provo yesterday and they responded like, "....and what did you do there?" I laughed and said, "No - I really ran to Provo yesterday."

That is funny---I'd like to run to Layton some time.....I'd bet that you're sore!

You are one heck of a woman Maurine! Dang it. I am SO glad that you are feeling better today (monday). How is the torso today?

Maurine- Luz and I want to run Porter Rockwell with y'all some time soon. We also want to run Hobble Creek canyon. I think we all have races in March- but what about a lazy jog the first sat in april?

Marion - running Porter Rockwell in April would be great. I will be hitting those 2 trails a lot until the snow melts in them thar' mountains.

I feel good today - a little stiff. Might run to the gym tonight.

I bet you are sore! I am feeling it from 17 miles, I can only imagine... take it easy girl and then we are off for another fun run!

Marion, You do need to come do the PR trail, and I am dieing to do Hobblecreek, so make sure to let me know when you all do it!

Maurine,

You earned that soreness/stiffness. It's like a badge of honor. A recovery run to the gym sounds like an excellent idea. Have a great week.
