AM:  Awesome run today. 20-mile slushy loop through the Holladay/Highland High/Wasatch Boulevard area. Ran with Fritz, Jake, Brandon, Mike, Kevin, and Collin. Definitely character building and satisfying to get a run in in these conditions. It actually wasn't that bad -- just wet. As is customary with these group long runs, the miles flew by, conversations were great, and the company was fantastic! Brandon tried to push our "fast" buttons, but we were wise and kept it easy (a good choice in these conditions).

Then went to Jake's and Andrea's place for a very impressive breakfast.  All kinds of home-made excellence! Very tasty and definitely hit the spot! Thanks Andrea, Allie, Aimee, and James. Much appreciated.

PM:  Hamstring and upper body weights.

Nice work coming up north for the 'character-building' run. Its just more evidence that you're hungry and committed and in for a monster year!

Thanks Justin and Jake. I am hungry. It's been a long time since I've been able to train and race. I'm having a blast. It is my honor to train with you both. Can't wait until you can join us again Justin.

Nice work today! 20 miles in the slushy snow shows a lot of commitment.

Matt, Thanks for making the trip to run with us. A Saturday long run without representation from the Utah Country Running Club just wouldn't be the same. You have a storied running past and sure to be future.

Thanks Fritz. I'm really enjoying running with you guys. It really will help all of us. I'm very excited to see what your future brings. You already have a very impressive running resume -- but I think you are just getting started!
