Personal:

I am 26 years old. I am the Production Coordinator for all visual communications for Kiawah Island Real Estate. I've been a runner since high school, and I have a competitive nature that should explain my high mileage. I challenge myself to accomplish what I never imagined I could do, and I try to encourage myself and others to push their limits. I'm usually late to parties and social gatherings, since I have to get the run in first...(but luckily, I have great friends who acknowledge my routine). I suffered a bad case of plantar fasciitis March of 2010, and I picked up cycling/spinning while I recovered. Surprisingly, I totally loved it. I only ran on a whim or on weekends, or on vacation days when my gym was closed. This fall, I finally got back into the swing of things and started racing again. I'll try to update my races and runs more frequently. I'd like to be where I was 2 years ago....12 miles a day...I mean...what?!?! =)

It's starting to get a little easier to run around the indoor track. 78 times around went by pretty quickly...sort of.

Oh...my...stinkin'...heck! 78 times??? I'm dizzy and bored just thinking about it.

Yeah. It's boring with a capital "B". But it's not as bad as it sounds. It beats running in the cold darkness. And I can take water breaks and have a nice view of the city from the windows around the track. There are pros and cons. The big con being 6 times around is a mile. Boooo.

That is nuts! I would rather have the cold and darkness! Way to get it done, you are a mileage hound!

Are you getting ready for a deca-triathlon?!?! I cant handle more than 3 or 4 miles on a cold, dark track without losing my mind. More power to you.

Hahaa this is an indoor track. I am a weenie when it comes to cold weather. The darkness is ok if it's warm, but windy 40s at night...can't do it. Many times around an indoor track is surprisingly easier for me. It's easy to stay focused because if I start to get distracted...I lose count (which is never a good thing).
