Personal:

I am 26 years old. I am the Production Coordinator for all visual communications for Kiawah Island Real Estate. I've been a runner since high school, and I have a competitive nature that should explain my high mileage. I challenge myself to accomplish what I never imagined I could do, and I try to encourage myself and others to push their limits. I'm usually late to parties and social gatherings, since I have to get the run in first...(but luckily, I have great friends who acknowledge my routine). I suffered a bad case of plantar fasciitis March of 2010, and I picked up cycling/spinning while I recovered. Surprisingly, I totally loved it. I only ran on a whim or on weekends, or on vacation days when my gym was closed. This fall, I finally got back into the swing of things and started racing again. I'll try to update my races and runs more frequently. I'd like to be where I was 2 years ago....12 miles a day...I mean...what?!?! =)

Looks like you put in some good miles! Training for anything in particular?

From Running on Full on Wed, Jun 24, 2009 at 15:55:46 from 208.60.95.30

I'm not training for anything specifically. I am 23 and I've been running on a daily basis (give or take) since high school. I was pretty steadily running 6-8 for a while, but it wasn't too hard to add a mile here and there. It's amazing how gradually adding mileage makes conditioning easy. I've run a few half marathons, and I find it to be easy and comfortably (barely even a challenge) to race the distance since I comfortably run it regularly. I find it to be way more enjoyable to always be training rather than to amp it up a few weeks before a race. I'm always ready if an opportunity presents itself.
