Personal:

Married to Elizabeth (she got me running in 2003). We have three boys, Lucas (12) , Sam (8) and Ollie (5).

Many years ago, I read that the AVERAGE male is capable of a 2:40 marathon.  I decided to test that theory.  I began running in 2003 with Top of Utah as my first marathon (4:24).  I need 3 more minutes.

AM: 11.6 miles.  Tempo work early this morning in Sugar House park with the group.  6 x 1600 with 90 second jogging recoveries.

The group really wants to cut down on the recovery time to keep the LT levels high.  We are really focusing on Jack Daniel's strategy for these tempos/intervals and using his formulas.  5:47 avg. pace which is a little fast for my planned VDOT of 57 (6:09 according to chart), but I may actually be closer to a VDOT of 61 with my 800 meter numbers figured in.

PM: 3.5 miles.  Gym run for core.  It was at least 15 degrees cooler than early this morning!

Quick, but long lunch time run.  I decided to sleep in this morning, so no gym time...hooray!
