Personal:

Married to Elizabeth (she got me running in 2003). We have three boys, Lucas (12) , Sam (8) and Ollie (5).

Many years ago, I read that the AVERAGE male is capable of a 2:40 marathon.  I decided to test that theory.  I began running in 2003 with Top of Utah as my first marathon (4:24).  I need 3 more minutes.

Emigration canyon due to inversion in Salt Lake.  Elizabeth and Lucas drove me to the top and I ran back to the house.  The air quality was really bad once I hit Ruth's.

House to Sugar House Park then gym in the nasty inversion air.  My back was giving me a lot of trouble today, so I went to the chiropracter this morning.  Changed shoes and went for an easy run.  I hope the problem is old shoes.

House to Liberty Park then gym in the nasty inversion.  My back was feeling a lot worse today.  After the first mile it loosened up a bit.  I now know what my pace will be like when I am an old man.  I may have to take a few days off if things don't improve overnight.

Today is the first day that my back cooperated with my running.  It was a little sore this morning, but I felt like going out for a run at lunch.  Did a run from my house up toward Hogle Zoo and back.  It rained the entire time, but my back felt fine.  I'm interested to see how it feels tonight,  I will skip speed work tomorrow, but would like to get 4-6 miles in.
