Long run in Tallahassee. Came up Thursday night to visit stepdaughter. Mom was worried, Soph had been in ER with a swollen eye. Fortunately she didn't need to stay in hospital overnight.
Dinner out last night at Texas Roadhouse, ate somewhat healthy and largely avoided alcohol.
Up early this morning before 7:00, still cool out. Stayed at Sheraton 4 Points hotel which is tall and round (well, actually 16 sides, but kind of round). Just one busy street to cross, then through college town area and just past FL A&M is start of St Mark's trail. It's mostly straight with just one zig zag crossing a street before straight again.
I went out nice and easy with low expectations, first mile 11:49, but then after that was in the 9's with 3 miles in the 8's before that last mile with the big uphill on Maccomb Street which slowed me back down to 9:17
I was willing to just do 13 but felt good enough to keep going out to 7.5 miles, maybe could have gone one more 0.5 miles out but needed to get back to hotel well before checkout.
So, overall I'll put this run in the win column, much better than last Saturday's not so great run.
