Long-Term Running Goals: Maintain my health and continuously seek to improve my fitness. Maybe someday get under 3:00 for marathon. More importantly, I'd like to figure out what my maximum ability is and reach that.
I'd also like to find the right balance in life and use running to enhance and improve myself.
Personal: Dad of three (welcome Charlotte Dani on 8/10/20) awesome kids and stepdad to three almost as awesome as my own kids.
I have a brown dog named Stella, and three cats - Catty, Tortie, and Esperanza.
(old lines that were a little out of date but couldn't quite bring myself to removing them completely:) Also, have one wonderful brown dog named Sammy and just added a grey tiger cat (Catty) whose life started out rough but now has a better home.
I've recently started another blog so I can easily add lots of pictures and so other non-FRB users can leave comments:
Forward Progress!
Also, for 2012 I started a blog to write down each day one thing that I am grateful for

Out and back run from Starkey Gap Trail Trinity Blvd trailhead, heading south and then back to the car.
Evening Valentine's Day dinner at Thirsty Marlins with Jessica, her kids, the baby of course, Jessica's parents and Jacob's girlfriend Emma. It was nice, not too busy and there was room in the indoor/outdoor area for the baby to roam (I guess not completely a baby if she's roaming but more toddling).

Up and down the street in Westlake Village. I should run this more often for a warm up before long runs because it's just hilly enough to stretch out my legs.

Did "fun with quarters" where I just alternate between easy and fast from beginning to end. By the time I finish the "easy" quarters are faster than the first "fast" quarter.

Evening Humpday Hustle run with the Striders at Longleaf. Out to the "two mile" tree, take a couple sunset pictures (actually dusk at that point) head back, then pick up Sushi on the way home (every Wednesday Publix has $5 sushi, it's not bad for $5).

Big square around the outside of Westlake Village, then finished off with a loop on the inside. First mile under 10:00 which is good for me, last mile right around 8:00 pace.

Another square around the outside of Westlake Village, but no loop inside this time. Similar pace to yesterday

Longish run, from WLV over to Pinellas Trail and some miles both to the north (first) and then to the south before heading back.
