NO CALF PAIN!!!  I am so glad :D  Tomorrow I will go for 5 :)  I am on day 2 of the RAD Weight Watchers plan :)  Rachel was so kind as to share some tips with me.  So here is the plan in a nut shell- 30% of my points for breakfast, divide the rest of my points over 5 smaller meals.  The last meal/snack of the day needs to be high in protein and protein should be about 70% of my total daily points ;)  I am shooting for about 90 to 100g's a day.  I don't think I can hit 70%- too much.  Dr Brady recommended more protein a while ago and I have ignored his skinny little self ;)  Rachel, on the other hand, looks like the beach volley ball player that I want to be- so I am going to listen to her :)  My friend, MissB, and I had lunch yesterday and plotted and planned about this great new idea.  MissB is already a fabulous twiglett, just looking to improve her fuel intake.  I, on the other hand, am still trying to SET THE AMAZON GODDESS FREE!!!!  I am pretty sure she is still HOT and and dying to find out for sure ;D  I also think she might be a fast runner too.

THANKS RACHEL AND MISSB!!!

Yay for pain free! Have a question for you WW Goddess : I want to cut out calories to start dropping weight. I have been hovering between 183-185 for the last few months. Should I try decreasing breads and carb intake? Or wait until after the century ride?

From leslie on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 14:50:48 from 76.23.61.78

I echo Teena!! Yeah on everything!!!! keep us posted on the RAD WW!!

Yikes! How many calories does doing math burn? You're going be a percent calculating toothpick.

From Metcalf Running on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 16:32:02 from 207.225.192.66

Ya!!! no pain. I can't wait til I can say that :(

Sounds like you have a good eating plan.

From RAD on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 17:46:03 from 67.166.99.8

Marion, can you remind me about that plan? I just ate chocolate and starburst for my 'afternoon snack' :) I'm glad you're doing so well so far on it! I wish I could convince myself to keep with it...I do, but cheat too much to loose weight :(

I'm so glad you didn't have any pain this morning!! It must be the evening protein recovery :) Do you have plans for Sat?

From Marion on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 18:35:27 from 71.213.105.206

Ben- You are already a very tall stick! ;) I'd wait until after the century ride. Carbs are good for us and before you cut them out, I'd just make sure you are getting your carbs from WHOLE grains and fruits :) Aren't you like 6'4"???

Teena- YIPEE!!!

Rachel- I am just being the you I want to be so I can as cool and as fast as you are. I found some Snickers Marathon Protein bars. I will let you know how they taste :) They better be good! I couldn;t find any mint chocolate bars :( Sat is my sons baptism and so I have to do 18 on friday all alone :(

Lori- What is bugging you now? I have been in outer space lately ;)

Mike- Math burns more calories than running 17 miles. I swear my brain actually smokes!

Leslie- I wish I could run with y'all on Sat Am!

From RAD on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 18:58:51 from 67.166.99.8

Next time I see you I'll bring you some GOOD protein bars :) Enjoy the baptism Saturday! I'm sure it'll be amazing!

From Kelli on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 18:59:22 from 71.219.75.228

Glad to hear there was no pain. Good luck on the RAD weight loss plan. She is a very tall twiglet for sure.

From leslie on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 19:12:16 from 76.23.61.78

So, RAD, what are the GOOD protein bars?? RAD, you are the one with the Weight Loss plan? I can't keep everyone straight.

Marion, I do hope you find someone to run with, 18 alone is tough, but you are a tough chick so go for it!

From Metcalf Running on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 20:48:40 from 71.219.157.4

Marion... same story, different day. It never really goes away... LOL I sound like Eeyore

From Maurine/Tarzan on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 21:14:06 from 97.117.57.123

Marion - I actually encourage you to do a long run alone occasionally. Most of my long runs in life have been alone. My first marathon I was alone for 4.5 hours until some family and friends found me. It is good to learn to embrace yourself and enjoy the time alone.

From RAD on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 22:47:29 from 67.166.99.8

Leslie, Marion and I were discussing the nasty protein bars and I was telling her about the 'cliff builder' bars that are chocolate mint - however, very pricey. So, nearly equally as good (but1/2 as expensive) are the 'balance bars' - mint chocolate as well. If you like mint chocolate stuff, you'll love them!!
