2 hours of biking, about ;)  I met Michelle at 5am to ride bikes while she walked and ran.  It was SO cold.  35 degrees where we started and 31 degrees on parts of the route.  a dog tried to eat us and there was almost "traffic" with all the walkers out.  As always, it was SO great to spend 0'dark hundred, or any time of day, with Michelle.

My eating has been out of control for the last 3 days.  Usually I have one bad day during the weekend, but this week I had three :(  I am going to have to get a grip today.  At least the chex mix and the coconut cream pie are gone ;D  I am not left with much that tempts me.

I will do some yoga once the boys are off to school.  I am a solid frozen block right now.  I had hoped the shower would thaw me, but no such luck.  I may be colder :(

Biking in the cold is harder then running in the cold. I can never get warm when I bike in the cold. Good to see that you are getting out in it though. My eating has been out of control for more then three days... I hate to admit. But like you all the temting stuff is now gone... heres to getting it in control :)

Hey what were the miles you had today? I heard my watch beep 11 miles as I drove up the hill, so I forgot to turn the sucker off. I thought I was going to die, I am not sure how I will handle it when we get to single digits again.

Shoot, Michelle. I dunno our miles. I was just going by time today :( I am FREEZING and tired. I fear if I get warm, I will fall asleep forEVER!! As for the weather, in the very cold of winter, I like to go when the girls get home from school. It is usually 10-15 degrees warmer :)

Lori- yes, biking is WAY colder than running. My toes are little Popsicles ;) Sorry your eating has been nuts too. I hate that. Here's hoping we both can get a grip today ;D

You're a brave woman to bike for that long in the cold. If the shower didn't do it, maybe you should take a steamy hot bath to warm up.

My eating has been out of control too. I tend to blow it on the weekends, and last weekend was no exception, and I didn't do so well yesterday either. We all need to get a grip, eh.

I'm surprised that there were a lot of walkers out in the cold and the dark. I haven't seen too many people out at 0-dark-thirty lately.

Carolyn, I made myself a cup of herbal tea and curled up with a blanket on the couch and my hoodie, hood pulled tight over my head. I finished the tea and just woke up after more than a 2 hour nap. Thank heavens my 3 year old is not a wanderer and has been well trained to watch PBS ;D In my sleep/awake I could hear him saying the names of the letters on one of the shows. I opened my eyes to make sure he was correct, he was. I guess skipping preschool this year was not a bad idea ;D My body is still a bit chill and my toes are defrosted but cold. I'm warmer, but not warm. I am going to add some more layers. My new space aged thermostat says it's 71 degrees in here. I shouldn't be cold, but my hair is still a bit damp. I'll bet that's it :)

Lots of love guys! have a GREAT day :) I swear I'll get to yoga after I get my kindergartner and eat lunch.

Dry your hair, silly girl!

This cold weather is horrid!!! I am moving south!!! Coconut Cream pie is worth a little weekend splurg. You will have your little gain off before this next weekend and then have a perfect weekend and all is well!

From marion on Tue, Oct 06, 2009 at 15:47:14 from 71.213.105.213

I am finally toasty! I just finished yoga and am hankering for some water :) the hair is dry!

Les- I am with you, let's hit the road!

Oh that nap sounds lovely! I don't trust my 2 year old for two seconds without my watchful eye. Sometimes I try to convince her to lay down and nap with me but to no avail! Here comes the cold weather. It is not so cold here. I am in my happy 40 to 50 degree running weather in the mornings. Anyways how is the hip and how long til you can run a bit?

From marion on Tue, Oct 06, 2009 at 16:30:06 from 71.213.105.213

Hola April! The hip is doing much better. I am feeling very much like it would be ok to run on it. I am doing a ton of self massage on the old beast and it is feeling better :) I see the doctor tomorrow and am going to bribe him with cookies to let me run again :) Hopefully he is easy...I am pretty sure he is ;D

From Maurine/Tarzan on Tue, Oct 06, 2009 at 19:49:26 from 12.177.156.2

Hope you get good news from the doctor tomorrow. Good for you on gutsing it out on the bike with Michelle.
