2+ mile walk with the AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL Michelle.  It was so fun to go for a walk with Michelle today.  We went a bit too far... oops, but she seemed GREAT!  I love that I can keep up with her for a bit here until she is back in the saddle again :)  Heck, I'll take it!  In the past when she has run with me, I can't talk at all cause she is KICKING MY BUM.  Since I could talk today, I TALKED HER POOR EAR OFF! ;)  Thanks Michelle!  You are the BEST!  Oh, and for any readers out there, Michelle is putting on a 5k and bike race in Woodland Hills on the 22nd of August.  It should be SUPER FUN for the whole family!!! :)  I wonder if she will have an AMAZING and beautiful Rooster for a grand prize???  I may have to donate one ;)  MACK- before you even think of it- YOU CANNOT DONATE YOURS!!! ;D

2.8 miles, 32:22/11:33 ave , Splits-11:32, 11:34, 9:16 (stop light ;p)  Having already warmed up, I just went straight in to the 12mm thing.  The swimming really poops me out!  The pool is only open for another month, so I will be really curious to see how my running changes once I am not swimming anymore.  Mile one was pretty comfy, mile two was OK and mile 3 (.8 ;) was tiring until the end.  I would have liked to go 2 miles more, but I needed to get home so Anna could head off to pipe practice :)

Good job on the training, S"talker" Marion.

Sounds like you and Michelle had a fun walk. What will we ever do without each other? Can't make it to Michelle's 5K...I have Park City Marathon that day, same as Hobble Creek...STINK!

It's too bad you can't swim AFTER you run. That way you can "cool down" rather than getting tired for the run. With a busy family life, I seriously don't know how you fit everything in. GOOD JOB!!!

How fun to walk with Michelle!! Enjoy your last month of swimming, I think the cross training is great!

You know Smooth- I maybe could swing that now. At first I was afraid I would drown, but if I got up at 5:15(just 15 min earlier), I could get in 5 miles and then still have 30 minutes in the pool(lap swim is only from 6-7). Hmmmmm... That might work! The towel would be a problem :( Hmmmmm... I could just run home soaking wet ;) Drip in my shoes :) It's only .7 miles from my house if I go the long way :) .5 the short cut. hmmmmmmm...... I could toss my towel in the bushes .....

Thanks Les and Maurine. I really need to move closer to y'all!

Just pretend you are doing a triathlon... Or you are a sweaty male runner...

Yep - I have a spare bedroom you can move into.

From Smooth on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 11:12:45 from 71.36.69.161

This will make you run faster so you can hurry to the pool by 6 :-).

From marion on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 11:24:36 from 71.213.106.139

Oooh- smart girls! I could ride my bike to the pool, leave my towel on the bike, then run then swim them bike!! I'd have plenty of time if I run before the swim. I'd be needing a nap before 9am ;) I need one now, btw.

I'll be right up with my stuff, Maurine. The bishopric was released last week and David was put in as the Young Men's Pres (again) and so there may be a few nights that I will want to run away :) Bishopric counselor was/is WAY easier than YM pres! Plus now he has a rocket in his shorts about doing it 110% with gusto this time around. His view from the bishopric has given him LOTS of ideas for improvements! At least he's not the bishop!

You're funny, Marion. I'm visualizing you biking, running, and then swimming and sloshing home.

From Burt on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 13:57:25 from 68.76.197.194

I guess it's been a while since I've visited your blog, Marion. Sorry. When did you post the new picture?

From marion on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 14:45:19 from 71.213.106.139

Carolyn- I am going to be a sight to behold. I give the neighbors a lot to talk about ;) They all think I am nuts anyway. I've turned into the crazy lady down the street.

Burt- I think I put it up last week. Surrey is only 2 weeks old, and that was taken when she was a few days old. she's so sweet.

Sounds like a great morning!! You and Michelle together ... can only imagine the conversation!!! :)

From MichelleL on Wed, Jul 29, 2009 at 15:57:45 from 71.35.248.79

It was so fun! Good job jumping into the sub 12's (Marion is so obedient :) ). This girl can talk :D I love it, she is inspiring in person as she is on the blog.

No red rooster, too expensive for my race. Perhaps a free rollie pollie? Actually we are giving small cash prizes, because money talks, and I walk (sorry couldn't resist the last minute cheesiness).

(Marion - no moving, since moving closer to them makes you further from me and I have dibs).

From marion on Wed, Jul 29, 2009 at 16:07:05 from 71.219.52.63

OK Michelle- I won't move, but then you are going to have to find a way to make me fast enough to run with you on your SLOW days!

On a side note, when I was little, very little, I could not talk. Turned out it was my hearing, (TONS OF EAR INFECTIONS) so they put tubes in when I was 4 (tonsils, adenoids out, the works) and my mom said that I started talking and NEVER SHUT UP! That's how my family knows there is something wrong with me, I quit talking. I suppose that is how David will know I am dead, the house will be silent ;D
