10:45 ave Laps- 10:02, 10:22, 10:27, 10:56, 10:51, 10:58, 10:43, 11:35, 11:09, 10:55, 11:37, 10:42, 9:46, 1:14(.18) At mile 4 my chest started to hurt. Somewhere around mile 9 my knee went ballistic and hurt enough to significantly change my form. My neuroma hurt from 6 on. At mile nine my chest pain went significantly up. Did I mention that it rained, hailed AND snowed? I didn't realize that my hands were frozen until at mile 9 I went to get two little Tylenol out of my tights pocket and it took me FOREVER. My hands had no dexterity. If this report sounds a bit whiney, it's because it is. I am finally warm, 2 hours after the finish and a HOT bath (all the water heater), soaked until the water heater reheated then took a shower until there was not more hot water again. This is a 2 minute PR for me, but I was really wanting to see those teens. It should have been a significantly faster race for me. Well, it is what it is and there is nothing I can do about it now.
My clothes are SOAKED. I am tired but need to keep moving for at least an hour before I take a nap and turn into a lump of lactic acid.
KimR- thanks for running the first three miles with me :) You are such a WONDERFUL friend. You did a GREAT job on such a TERRIBLE race day :p We are such fair weather runners :)
Thanks for the cheers, Luz and Alice. It was SO great to see happy faces and HOT chocolate :) xoxoxo Thanks Michelle for bringing me in :). It was SO great to pick off Rainbow coat, cat in the hat dude, green shirt girls, and orange skirt lady. You saved my last mile :) You are the BEST!!
