I was supposed to run 7 MP miles today.  I ran the fist mile and stopped to stretch.  I started the run and within 100 feet I was breathing like a steam engine.  I could not move any faster.  I tried until about 2.7 miles in and nothing.  At that point I had to decide if I would just do the 7 slower or stop at ~4 and try for the 7 on thursday.  Since there were two trucks parked in a weird spot on a secluded part of my 7 miler, I headed back home for the 4.5.  There are a few spots where I run that I am totally alone.  If I see a car that does not belong or people out of place, I turn and go the other direction.  I suppose if axe murderers were smart, they'd dress up like runners.  I am not afraid of other runners at all.  It's pretty nuts really.  I meet a bunch of people on the internet and go off to other cities and sleep in the same rooms in the same condo???  I think we are BONKERS!!! :)  I am so glad that non of you have turned out to be axe murderers ;D

Anyway- I am going to go clean out the carport and have a GREAT day!!

XOXOXOXOXO!!!

What size t-shirts should I order? I am getting bids from 3 different places to see what we can do, price wise.  I have asked Sasha if we can use "Fast Running Blog" on the shirts.  I fugure that we are all FRB runners/blogers.

"I suppose if axe murderers were smart they'd dress up like runners." HAHAHA You kill me, Marion! How is the running going? Man it's exciting to read about you and your marathon training. It's truly a surreal experience when you cross the finish line for your first marathon!

Better to be wary then regret running if something seems out of place. Do you have any mace? And/or running buddy? ATTACK DOG Might be best... and not a Chihuahua though they have a mean ankle bite to them. We need to get you a Doberman! Or a Scary Poodle. haha

Bwahahahaha (Tarzan is just waiting for the perfect opportunity to wipe out all faster runners on the blog).....

Did you get enough sleep? Are you eating correctly? Hope you don't have this happen again.

(Reminds self to not show Marion her concealed weapon).

Good Morning Maurine! - Yes, yesterday I ate great and got enough sleep. I did run yesterday afternoon and so my runs were pretty close together. I am not too worried. I'll make sure I have more carbs today :) I need to get some mace or pepper spray. Guns scare me. I'd probably shoot myself ;)

From leslie on Tue, Apr 07, 2009 at 11:56:10 from 76.23.61.78

I hear you Marion, I have turned around afew times when I am alone and I see something "not right"

Guns scare me too, or the wack jobs carrying the guns. ( Not you Maurine, you are NOT a wack job, just a crazy runner).

If you are taking orders for shirts, I am usually a womens large or med, depending on if they were made in the US or China.... I am still voting for the the getting Pinked line on the back, that was great!!!

When Carolyn was in SLC we ran together. We met at 6am on a very dark and snowy morning. As we left for our run she commented that her mom was worried that she was going off to run with a strange man she had never met. Carolyn commented that she hoped I wasn't a psycho. I laughed, but then realized how much scarier it must be for women than men to run in the morning or alone.

As far as running with Carolyn went, I even made her run on the outside of the road/sidewalk. Its just in my nature to be protective. I do it with my wife and kids all the time.

Shih tzu! Marion why do I constantly have to scold you? I'm glad you cut your run short. Now I'm ahead of you on the mileage board for the week. :)

From Marion on Tue, Apr 07, 2009 at 13:03:02 from 71.213.107.170

Burt- are you going to make me go out and run more today????

Jun- We need more gentlemen out there :) Runners are a funny breed- very trusting :)

Leslie- "You've Just Been PINKED!" is for sure on the back :)

From Burt on Tue, Apr 07, 2009 at 13:13:57 from 68.76.197.194

Well, I'm only ahead of you by 0.01 miles, so 52.8 feet should put you even with me.

Thats why I always try to run WITH someone. It motivates me and keeps me safe! You know you never have to out run an axe murder, you just have to run faster than the people you are with :)

I'm in for a Medium shirt. I'm so excited to have a RHPC shirt!!! Marion you are the best - thanks for always keeping us laughing and motivated!!

This morning I saw a car parked on the right side of the road with a guy talking on his cell phone. I didn't think anything of it until I turned around a mile later and ran past the same car and the guy still talking on the cell phone. I ran over to the middle of the road, so he couldn't jump out and grab me! He gave a friendly wave as I got close. Whew! I should run with some kinda weapon for dogs. There sure were a lot of them lately.

I usually wear x-small, sorry!

That is why I do not run alone, scares the crap out of me!
