Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

While I ran I contemplated the mystery of my chimney neighbor.  There is a guy in our neighborhood that is ALWAYS in his garage, with the door open, smoking like a chimney.  It doesn't matter what time I run: early morning, late at night, midday...he is always there smoking.  I guess he just smokes 17 hours a day.  Odd life.

Lybi - good to see you back out running, smoking 17 hours a day - sad to say - I seen that same toenail of a moon. Are you tempted to make a comment about smoking to the chim, chimchimeree, chim, chim chim chiree, without Julie or Dick.

If I let my kids anywhere near him, they will definitely tell him that he should stop smoking. There are 3 things I just can't get my kids to stop saying to people: 1.) To a very old person "You are going to die." 2.) To a smoker "Smoking is bad for you." 3.) To a neighbor walking down the street "You are a stranger!" Little kids...geez. However, I think they got this tendancy from me. I distinctly remember telling a lady with really long hair "Don't you EVER cut off your split ends?!?" when I was 5. My poor mother.
