1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

Quick!  Look at the mileage board.  I'm on the 2nd page for the first time ever--combination of all the St. George Marathoners recovering, and this being my highest mileage week ever.  Might as well enjoy that little tiny perk bc otherwise I am feeling blah.   Hopefully in the next week or so I will adjust to the higher miles and not feel tired all the time.  I'll probably slip off the page once everyone has reported today's run.  Victory is fleeting.

1.6 later tonight. around  12 min. pace.

Hey Lybi, I've never checked the mileage board... I really need one more thing to look at and spend time on this blog! (he, he) I've already confessed to being an addict! Sure will miss you tomorrow!!!! :( :( I have thought about commenting on the discussion board, but I haven't signed up or looked into how to do it. I will soon though. How come your feeling blah? You've had a great week, one step closer to getting in shape for Moab! I'm really excitted!!!!

Good job Lybi! I rarely check the mileage board and just noticed Clyde and I are tied this week! (Who cares if I posted today already and he hasn't!) So I can't remember where you are in AZ, but aren't you close to Phoenix? I just booked my flights down there for November 3-6. I'll be staying close to the airport in Phoenix and working down there. Maybe we could try and hook up for a run? I won't have a car so I don't know how difficult that will be, but let me know.

Yes! Mik'L we should DEFINITELY plan on a run when you come down. We live in Mesa and it only takes about 35 min. for us to get to the airport. Maybe we could try to do a long run on Sat. (anything over 5 is long). We could invite Shauna too, she lives in Phoenix! I guess it depends on when you get in...

Michelle, my body is NOT used to doing 5 every day yet--that is the root of the blahs. I had just been doing 3.1--anything over that was pure extra credit in my book.

Lybi- Hey chica! Wish you could run with us tomorrow. That will be fun if you run w/ Mik'l & Shauna next month. I'm afraid to look at the mileage board- I've been lazy this week. But kudos to you!! Have a great weekend!

Still cruisin at the top of the second page. We get in to PHX about 2 p.m. on Saturday, so maybe we could try an afternoon run? Or I have that Monday off...

BTW, Michelle and I decided tonight that you are in charge of registering our Moab group :)

From Kim on Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 00:05:46

Hey Lybi,

I would like to get in on that Moab group if possible. Can't promise to be able to keep up with you gals, but would love to run it!
