1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

I purposely ran past my house a little bit just so this would be a little longer than my last run.  I've got to see progress, I am telling you.

I ran with this really hot guy from my neighborhood.  Man, was I checking him out. Nice turn-over, Babe.  Couple running requires adjustment on both sides.  I was a min. per mile faster than on Saturday, which made me breathe nice and hard.  And you should have seen James taking these itty bitty steps, like he was tip-toeing in the attic.  Very noble of him to protect me from the perpetrators lurking in the shadows.  James is a necessity for night running, I've decided.

I'm so glad you're going - and with James too! Fun, fun! I was flat on my back all day today because I threw my blasted back out ... who knows how! Maybe trying to catch Cami as she fell out of the car yesterday ... maybe holding Brianna a lot yesterday. I don't know. But I'm convinced that when I recover, I'm signing up for Yoga!! I want an instructor to be able to correct my positions, rather than just trying to follow a video.

Mike and I were looking at 5k races on Saturday - anything to keep us motivated/scared. hehe

Love ya!

Shoot! You know I've been there. The big killer for me is carrying a child more on one hip that the other. A great help to me have been seeing a therapudic masseuse. They were able to tell me why I kept having the same problem and the positions I need to avoid to keep aggravating it. Hope you get better soon! Good job signing up for the 5K!

so happy you have an attractive running partner! :) I don't have a running partner, but there is this really attractive guy who takes some super cute kids hiking while I run, and is always waiting for me at the finish. Makes it that much better!

I may have to try a therapudic massage soon. My right shoulder is screaming from holding Oliver pretty much all the time lately. It's a good thing he is just so adorable.

Thanks, Benn, glad to see you too!

Camille, I have a great chiro/massage place for you. The therapist is AMAZING and it is covered as part of the chiro visit. Remind me to give it to you!
