1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

Good Luck at TOU!!!!

And please don't keep us all waiting too long with those race reports.  Well, I know you'll be tired, so take your time, but just know that some of us are going to be checking the computer every hour or so.

3.1 miles with Christine untimed.  I was taking it slower to try to let my hip relax a little.  It seemed to help, and it is feeling fine now.

Remind me to tell you my funny helicopter story when I have a little more time.  Maybe I'll post it later today.

WAIT! Lybi, did you say Twilight? Have you and Michelle read New Moon, too? I am still 12th in line at the library for Eclipse. I'd love to talk about Twilight, but I won't be in St. George. Would it be okay to do some of the talking now?

Have you read the first chapter of Midnight Sun on Stephenie Meyer's website? It's Twilight, but from Edwards perspective.

Hey guys- I'm sure you saw on the Steph Meyer website that they are making a movie of Twilight? Too bad we all live so far apart- that would be cool to go see together! Have a great weekend everyone watch out for those hunky pale guys with creepy eyes...

You mean my husband James? JK. I revel in the fact that if he had bronze hair and golden eyes, he would look just like Edward (to me).

Yes yes yes. I've read every single thing on the website. The only thing I haven't read is the second half of Eclipse (minus the last chapter because I couldn't WAIT to see if a certain event was going to be covered in the book or not). I lent it out since I was being poky about reading it, and my beloved friend hasn't given it back yet. Time to call her, I guess.

Ooh, I can't wait for Midnight Sun to be published. Hopefully the movie will come out at the same time as a major marathon. : ) Here'e hoping, anyway.
