1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

3 miles on treadmill.

I lost 2 lbs. this week.  This is faster than normal, but I'm sure that it will average out to about 1/2 to 1 lb. a week over the next couple of months.  First week I think I just loose some water and such.  I've gone to WW after having each of my boys.  It always works, it just takes a little time.

I can't sleep!  James has been in Boston this week for business.  THANK GOODNESS he comes home tomorrow.

Great job on the weight loss! I'm jealous. I need to stop vacationing- always eat too much! Going to stay put for the next month and work on eating well & running! I can relate to crazy hubby schedule's & not sleeping! Its the pits!

Woohoo! I am finally home! A little worse for the wear, but it is so good to be back with my family whom I love so very much. Great job on both your training and your weight loss! You know, its actually pretty inspirational to read your blog about running even when you don't feel like it (previous blogs). Don't worry, there will be times when you will really enjoy the run, and other times when you will be like "lets just get this over with". The important thing is to carry on, and the long-term benefits will be phenomenal. Love ya, babe!

I laughed til I cried when I read your "warning" on Sasha's blog.

I don't sleep too well with Sasha away

either..a week is a long time too...I feel for you. That's why Sasha took us to Arizona with him...Thanks again for

making that possible.

I was thinking of your tomatoes that you had planted way back in April...just got mine in are garden...are you getting flowers on yours now?

BTW...I love your updated goals..I need to think about mine but keep thinking I'll probably be pregnant by the end of the summer. I have plans to run a 10miler in a month and a 1/2 marathon in August with my running buddy Adrianne.
