Todays jog was brought to you by entire hillsides covered with sunflowers (Black Eyed Susan's).  I swear, running up the foothill to look out over the valley and see the stillness of the lake saved my life this morning.  My thingy hurts still when I run. I'm sick of my thingy.

Sorry your thingy still hurts! Not to be mean, but I'm trying not to laugh imagining what the heck is the thingy! :)

Thanks for sharing the scenery with your pen!

What isn't my thingy is the whole problem...The sunflowers took my mind off it for a while though :) I can't believe these beautiful mornings-- they take my breath away with nature's satisfied self-assurance in autumn--the most temperate and beautiful season of the year. Seasoned to perfection like a woman in her prime (ostensibly a woman whose thingy doesn't hurt).

I love the promise of autumn with her serene maturity, bounty harvest and fruits of summer's labor, golden splendor, crisp clean air and calm blue sky! Another reason you and I have autumn birthdays! :)

So lovely and true. Except--don't you get like 3 birthdays? What shall we do for your November one? Let's party!

PS--what did you seriously run two marathons in like a week with Boston Qualifying times? I am stunned that you can just keep on churning out amazing marathon after marathon. You are just unreal.

I only have TWO birthdays! Haha! :)

Yes, we should have a party for our Nov. birthdays! :) :) :)

As for the BQ marathons. It really isn't that impressive especially when you get to be my age. They give old ladies more time! Hehe! I am grateful that I am healthy enough to run and not take it for granted though! :)

Gotta love when the beauty of life around you keeps your mind off the nagging injuries.

I must be the dissenter on one point though - I'm a spring girl. Love spring - autumn just makes me cold. I love springs gentle warm up and new life. I'm a winter birthday though...probably born in the wrong time :)
