Running Accomplishments:

I ran my first marathon as a teenager in 1981 with my Dad (The Coronado Marathon). Since then I've run St, George (3x) Utah Valley (3x) Ogden (1 full, 2 halves) Park City (1 x) Boston Marathon (1x) Washington DC (1x) Moab Half Marathon (6x) ,Ye Old Freedom Festival 5 & 10K (a million x) and many others.

But I'm all done with that now.  I'm officially a jogger.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My running goal is to keep on keepin' on.

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Jog into the sunset.

I'm starting to worry about how much I run on the treadmill vs. the ground anymore. I only get out every ocassionally. Since today was sunny and mild, I chose to go outside.  But I am currently addicted to my pre-dawn old movie treadmill festivals.  It's no way to train for a marathon.

The worst drawback for me on the TM is when I start going outside again my shins start to act up. At least you are getting the miles in, the outside will come with the beautiful warm weather!

shin splints are the worst. I just feel more beaten down once I start running on the ground. I have never trained soley on the TM, and have yet to do a long run on the ground for my March Marathon ....
