Ran the first 4 with Jos. It's good to be on the ground and with company. There were lots of runners out. The thaw makes everyone come out of hibernation, also anyone training for an April (like Salt Lake City) Marathon is out. After Jos left, I ran back up and down the canyon to get another 8.  I'm not going to lie, that last mile was painful. The difference between the ground and the treadmill is, well, it's just plain harder.  Also, the air hurt my lungs. Came home, ran another 3 on the treadmill. I ran the first 12 miles 9:40 ap then the last 3 were all 11's.  Getting to 17-20 miles is the hardest part.  It's been a while since I was up into those miles and  while your brain remembers how it used to be, you hamstrings do not.

Good job on the 15! I don't care if they were fast or slow, that is some seriously solid mileage. 8 weeks to go until our big debut in Washington D.C. Did you get my message today I left you on your cell? I called you while at about mile 11 while running. My phone actually ran while I was running and I totally answered it, feeling very Luz-like, and had a full on conversation with my sister-in-law for about 30 minutes. It was great and the whole time I kept thinking how cool I felt being just like Luz running on my cell phone :). It's a definite first, but made a few miles pass more quickly.

I did get the message today...I've been with my sis up at sundance. The reception's not good. I can't believe you were running with your cel...I don't do that do I? I think I've answered a few calls, but had a full on conversation-and I know for sure I haven't called anyone and left a message :) I can't believe we only have 8 more weeks. I am not going to be ready. That 15 miles kicked my butt. My legs are sore today (even though I did 12 last two weekends, that was the treadmill). Not sure how I'm going to build that mileage....I still can't believe you left me a message while running. You're hilarious.

I think you should join me for a fun 18 miler!! It's always better with company - fast or slow, it's just better!

RAD, I would love to come, but I am seriously doing 12 minute miles. When are you guys planning an 18 miler?
