Doing what I can to keep up a few minutes of cardio. Insanely busy week--the onset of basketball season has me by the throat. Also, my sister who I have been 'not been speaking to'since August is here for Thanksgiving. Man, I need a punching bag at home.

Well, I don't have a punching bag, but if you need some time out I'd love to have you join me for a black friday run in Lehi! :)

I had a bad accident this morning-- I think my hamstring finally tore/popped off my piriformis. At least it feels that way. I fell down knees and face first today after it happened and now both my knees are the size of softballs. So no way I won't be going....I've texted Cath in case she wants to go. Thanks for letting me know about the run. It sounds like the perfect way to give thanks :)

Luz I am SO sorry!! I will keep an eye out for Cath. What a totally horrible thing to happen, especially this week with all your stress. I will pray for a quick recovery.

Luz! Have you seen a doctor yet? How are the knees doing?

Hi guys.... great Thanksgiving in spite of my little accident during Cross Fit training. They wanted to call an ambulance when I nailed the cement gym floor knees first. I was grabbing my hamstring and saying how I'd heard it crunch/snap (which is why I tripped and fell while performing sprints). The same kind of thing happened at SGM 2008. But while I was trying to find the tendon balled up in the back of my leg, they were like "Look at your knees!"...they were the size of fat baseballs. I was against the ambulance... but in retrospect, I probably should have gone to the emergency room at least..... I've just been to the doctor so much recently. I hated wasting time while my sister was in town. So I hobbled around with ice on my knees all weekend and called for an MRI on the piriformis today. The knees are healing up ok. I don't think I broke my knee cap, just bruised and maybe sprained it. This is what I get for being "moderate" in all things. I should have just kept running till I dropped dead because if you slow down just long enough everything else starts falling apart.

Oh man, so sorry to hear about the accident at crossfit. Hope you are on the mend and no tear or serious injury to the piriformis.

Did you have an extra serving of pie? You deserve it! :)

How are things now? Any better?
