Ran 4.5 this morning. Calibrated my Nike+ shoe pod. This device is very cool. I won't have to wear a watch when I have my Ipod with me. The shoe doodad communicates with my Ipod and shows me how far I have gone and my pace. I was thinking about getting a GPS and now I don't have to. Best $30 my Mom has spent on running gear for me (B'day present).

I must be getting used to the heat and humidity finally. I am still losing a couple of pounds per run but not as bad. Also I am getting used to the TICKLE of all that sweat running off of all parts of me.

Holy Cow, looking at your week makes me very tired just thinking about it! Hope you enjoy your Ipod I run with one and really like it. I did do a 5K on the fourth of July and it said 2.8 miles and I'm sure that they got the distance right. The next day I re-calibrated and I haven't gotten around to checking it again. But it sure beats nothing! I love how you can graph the runs and see where you slow down and speed up ect. So about the Yassos? How long do you rest inbetween then? Sounds interesting, and a littel bit painful!

Thanks for your post. I know I am going to love the Ipod Nike+ feature. The rest in between the Yassos is the same time interval you ran. So, if you run a 4:00 800, then you rest for 4:00. Bart says the rest doesn't matter if you stand around or jog. However, I jog slowly. Sometimes I mix in a bit of walking but I always do them on a course that I have to jog a bit in between them to make it to the start of the 800m course I have marked.

If you train for a marathon, Yassos are worth the temporary pain.

Yes, I can relate to being psyched about the shoe pod. I really thought I would despise my pedometer, but it's great. You can see what distance you are covering as you go see the distance rack up.I'm glad that the pod is working well for you.
