| | 9 miles total this morning. Did a ladder Fartlek workout with the boys. 1:1, 2:2, 3:3, 4:4, 4;4, 3:3, 2:2, 1:1. Cool down, plyombata and stretching afterwards. Very happy with the workout this morning.
3.5 miles this afternoon pushing Norah and Oliver to the park while Katey ran with me. It was a lot of fun being with the family.

| | Met up with Circle but no one was there. I was not feeling great this morning. I still have been thinking a lot about Terri Lusk and Ally with the entire situation they went through. It has kept me up the last couple days. I decided to give it a go on the workout but within the first 1/2 mile I almost got hit by a car. I was on the shoulder and the truck swerved towards me. I was so spooked I actually sat on the curb for about 5 minutes along the side of the road. It wasn't in me to finish the workout. I just jogged back to Clyde's house via the fields and ended up with 10 miles for the morning. Kept thinking of my family and how important they are to me.
Went to practice and ran a little before and then did 5 miles with the girls out on the trails. Ran a touch more with the last day of kid's club and called it a morning. Physically and emotionally drained right now.

| | Went out to Warner Valley this morning and did a 30 minute tempo/progession run with the boys. It went very well. Very positive stuff. 10 miles total with the warm up and cool down.
Made it up to camp at Eagle Point in Beaver and ran 3 miles on the Monarch Mountain Loop. The elevation change hurt for a bit but the cooler temps were amazing.

| | Did a loop around Puffer Lake with the boys. Ended up hitting 7 miles. I tacked on a few more running back and helping some kids come in. Nice to sit in the cold lake afterwards. The legs were very grateful.
I went up to the Skyline Trail with Bryce so we could mark the trail for Delano Peak and for me to check this section of trail to see if it is worth running on. Bryce marked Delano Peak and I ended up running the Skyline Trail. I saw tons of elk and deer which was really cool. I got mixed up on one section of the trail and it brought me down to a fire road and came back around Puffer Lake. I was glad I made a wrong turn because the rain started to come right when I finished. Beautiful section of trail but need to get back up there to complete the right trail. 10 miles total this afternoon.

| | Today was a very special morning with the team. We hiked/ran up to Delano Peak (12,169 ft.). Highest peak in Southern Utah. We had a great discussion about goals and team building stuff and it was amazing. It seriously looks like the alps up there. We were fortunate to see 50 mountain goats once we got to the top. Absolutely amazing. I need to get Katey up there.
1.75 miles this afternoon with our relay. The coaches' team did well and took top 4 out of all the groups. We did a .25 mile loop but did it 6 times. Sat in Puffer Lake afterwards which felt great again. Hard to go anaerobic when you are at 10,000+ feet. Saw some great things from kids today.
After watching Prefontaine as a team I took some of the team up to the dumpster. Every night they have a bear come down and chomp on stuff. We got close and put the lights on and watched the bear eat. He had to be at least 400-500 pounds. Pretty cool to see but sad he had to eat garbage.

| | Ran with the boys today over to the overlook of Blue Lake. Everyone was pretty tired but they gutted it out and did well on the run. 8.5 miles round trip. Lots more deer and elk.
Happy with how camp went this year. Lots of great memories and experiences. I wish I could have got a little bit more mileage and a few better workouts but I am not going to stress about it. Busy week next week as we head back to school. Yeah!
