| | 1 mile before the first official day of XC practice. Always busy on the first day so not much running. Great to finally be back with the TEAM. We had to start the girls at 7:00am and the boys at 7:30am to make sure we were properly socially distanced. So much fun.
Drove up north with my Dad and purchased a mini burro. I read "Running with Sherman" and was hooked. He is perfect and should be a lot of fun. His name is "OP."
I hoped to get more mileage but 9 hours in the car didn't help.
First official day of marathon training.

| | 12 total miles this morning. 7.5 miles this morning which included 5 miles of tempo. I was tired from the drive yesterday so I started out a little slower. 6:07, 6:03, 5:49, 5:58 (uphill), 5:47. Glad to get this one in. I then did another 4 miles with some of the boys at practice. Such a good vibe going on right now. Very excited for this season.
5 more miles this afternoon. Lots of cloud cover so it was perfect.

| | Ran with Aaron and Clinton this morning. Started at Confluence Park and then went up to Skyline Drive and then back down along Dixie Dr. It was a big loop. The first 6-7 miles were some good climbing. I started feeling pretty good about 8-9 miles into this run. The Korean food from Las Vegas yesterday made for lots of potty breaks. I think I counted six total this morning :) Oh well! Gutted it out and the water stops along the way helped. 15.5 miles total. 6:30/mile overall. Fastest mile was 5:32. Solid way to end the first official week of marathon training.
