I signed up for this Last Man Standing race a couple weeks ago. I knew I could probably do at least 50 miles (haven't done this in a few years). It basically consisted of running 6 mile loops around the Mayor's Loop. You have 90 minutes to do it and then you start another loop. My parents and Abby came to help crew me. I was super concerned about the heat so I had a lot of fluids and ice. I ended up running the first 5-6 loops with a Dad from a kid on the cross country TEAM. It helped pass the time. I got sleepy tired throughout the night. We started at 7pm and my body was really tired. I realized that Red Bull and Chicken Noodle Soup are a great mix super early in the morning. As the night went on, the temps got really cool and I didn't have a long sleeve shirt or light jacket. I made it 8 loops and got to 7am in the morning and I was shivering so bad I decided to be smart and just stop. I made it 50 miles and was a little bummed I dropped but it was okay.

It has been a while since I ran 50 miles in many years so I was proud of that.

Wow, sounds like a adventure. Good job getting the 50 miles completed!

That's impressive. Sounds similar to Big's Backyard Ultra format.
