I had the race of my life today.  It is still surreal with what time I got.  I am stoked to have gotten a qualifying time.  I feel extremely lucky to have gotten the time I got.  I think it is a little unfair because others I feel were more deserving of a OTQ.  I truly have been blessed so far during time running career.  My GPS got messed up for the last few miles of the race but here are the splits up to that point:

1-5:27

2-5:33

3-5:20

4-5:21

5-5:24

6-5:16

7-5:21

8-6:01 - got to love Veyo hill baby!

9-5:52

10-5:42

11-5:53

12-5:37

13-5:30

14-5:25

15-5:12

16-5:19

17-5:13

18-5:07

19-5:20

20-5:10

21-5:04

22-5:30

23-5:15

I hit the first at about 1:12:52 and then hit the second at 1:09 something.  I am too tired to do the math but that is alright.  The watch was messed up for the rest of the race but that is okay.  I knew I would be close to a qualifying time once I got into St. George.  I saw Mike Vick and caught up with him and decided to push it in from there.  I saw the finish line and it showed 2:21:30 and I knew I had to really get the horses moving.  I crossed the line and was smiling and crying.  I couldn't believe it actually happened.  Today has been one of the best days of my life.  Dreams do come true if you truly put your mind to it.  Congrats to all the other bloggers.  Many PR's were set and fast times were achieved.

Logan,

It is so great to see you pull this off. What an amazing year you have had. We all can learn a ton from your training this past year. Have a blast at New York. Just remember this year was just a stepping stone to even greater success in the future!

From Chris Rogers on Sun, Oct 07, 2007 at 21:09:53

Logan,

Absolutely unbelievable. You've made such huge strides in such a relatively short period of time--what a great accomplishment for you. Good luck in New York, and keep up the great training!

You are amazing! What a talent and an inspiration to all of us. I think you making the trials was the high-light of my year! You did what most people dream of doing in a dramatic fashion. If I can help you out for trials in anyway let me know. We still need to finish that movie sometime too.

Like I told Clyde, you guys being there at the finish to greet me was alomost more special to me that my new PR, Thanks!

From Dustin on Mon, Oct 08, 2007 at 11:36:48

You, Dave, and Clyde have inspired me to pick up my training the next year and see if I can have a big improvement like you guys have.

From Cheston on Mon, Oct 08, 2007 at 12:38:22

Logan!!!!!

Your amazing!!! I want to be the first to say, "Will you sign my running shoes"? Your so humble, bragging rights for life, that's right. Your so young, the possibilities are endless. Good luck at the trials and keep pushing your bodies limit.

From Mik'L on Mon, Oct 08, 2007 at 12:58:53

Logan- We recorded that video on our DVR and we are not quite techy enough to know how to get it off just yet. We'll see what we can do! In the mean time, anyone that wants to see it is more than welcome to come over to our house and watch! Maybe kcsg.com has something? Not sure.

From Jon on Mon, Oct 08, 2007 at 15:02:20

Don't delete it, Mik'L. Maybe we will all have to watch it at the blog party next year...

From James on Mon, Oct 08, 2007 at 15:07:19

I have all of you on upto Cody on video.

From Sasha Pachev on Mon, Oct 08, 2007 at 16:33:29

Logan:

As I mentioned already, I am very happy that you made the Trials. You passed me at the time when the size of the miracle I needed to qualify was big enough. I was closing the gap, but not fast enough, and had some historically slower miles up ahead. Mike was a bit ahead, running strong, but he was not moving fast enough either. It looked like only one blogger would qualify. I normally am not happy when people pass me, especially so fast that I cannot go with them, but this time I was. I knew that you had a very good shot, although you were behind, you were moving fast enough.

Things happen for a reason. If you pray you will know why this level of success came so fast, what it really indicates in terms of your long-term potential, and what you are supposed to do about it.

From Sasha Pachev on Mon, Oct 08, 2007 at 16:35:25

Jon - fortunately, you cannot delete a DVD-R.
