10 miles in the evening.

I ran with the cross country team and then added on a few miles by myself.  I went from the high school over to the trail by the Dixie Center and then around Bloomington Hills.  It was nice to get another decent run in.  Speed workout at 8pm at Snow Canyon High tonight if anyone is interested.

Katey's family is in town for the next 3 days so I will really have to focus on getting the runs in over the next couple days.  Her family is really supportive and understands I usually go for a run when everyone is lounging around and then we go and do something.  That was the case this evening.  I met up with Steve H. at the Snow Canyon High track for a big workout.  I did 8x1000m repeats with a 400m recovery jog in between each one.  I started out with a 2 mile warmup and then got right into it.  Here are the splits: 3:01, 3:03, 3:03, 3:02, 3:03, 3:01, 3:02, and 2:56.  I really kicked in the last repeat.  I haven't done these for a while so I wanted to see how I would feel.  I got into the groove and kept it there.  Really happy with the workout tonight.  One mile cooldown afterwards.

Really nice workout. Are you planning an interval workout for next week? I would like to join you & Mr. Hooper, Wed evenings are perfect. Aaron would too I believe but will be in Michigan the next several weeks.

Great workout. Way to stick it through to the end and really finish strong. 1:06 in Bryce?

Why limit yourself? 1:04!
