3rd place behind Dave who almost got the 1st place guy at the end. Cramped up for the last 20 miles in the legs and especially calves. Way too hot today. 90+ degrees. Happy with the result considering the weather and it was my first 50 miler. More details later. Dave ran great today.

Congrats on the first 50 miler. Big accomplishment, especially when you're battling heat.

Talked to the old man about the race. Sounds like you guys had quite an adventure. Nicely done!

Way to push through that cramping and still pull of an amazing race. What a journey - it really gets me pumped to do another 50. You and Dave and going to kill it at Squaw Peak!

Congrats on the great race, that is a long way in high heat. Way to go!

From Superfly on Mon, May 14, 2012 at 18:56:31 from 74.211.21.81

Dude so sorry it was so hot. In elements like that the unpredictable usually happens. You guys ran great even with the blistering heat. We were dieing just sitting out at the park waiting for you guys to finish. Mik'L kept saying "I wouldn't want to run 2 miles in this heat, let alone 50"! I'm proud of ya for finishing considering how beat up you were.

P.S. In all our running adventures I've never seen you look more Jacked after a race. It was pretty sad at the time and even now I feel bad... but there will come a time at dinner down the road where we'll laugh our butts off about it. I've got some visual images of you in my head I'll never get rid of...

Get recovered!
