I did an interval breakdown on the track right after practice today. I did a 2000, 1600, 1200, 800, and 400. I was supposed to drop a second per lap on each interval. My times went as follows: 6:14, 4:58, 3:44, 2:27, and 1:08. It felt good to get the legs moving but I ended up getting rid of some of my sickness after the 1600. I felt better after this occurred though. I then went up to Eden and ran with a buddy for 10 easy miles on part of the marathon course. He is only doing the half so it was good for him to get some miles in. I am planning on doing my 4 mile tempo run on Thursday on this same part of the course. It will be good to get me mentally ready for next week. |
